Create Encrypted Autoscale Group

E2E Networks allows users to enable encryption for Autoscale Group Nodes to ensure the protection of data at rest and during dynamic scaling events. The encryption process is seamless and automatic, leveraging LUKS (Linux Unified Key Setup) for full disk encryption. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to configure Autoscale Groups with encryption enabled, along with additional security configuration options such as setting an optional passphrase for enhanced protection.

Step 1: Initiate Autoscale Group Creation

   1. Login to the MyAccount Portal
      • To begin, log in to the E2E Networks MyAccount Portal using your credentials.

   2. Create the Encrypted Autoscale Group

     • Click on Auto Scaling and then click on Add New Node.

     • Select the Image.

     • Select the Plan.

     • Enter the Scale Group Name, and select the Minimum Nodes, Maximum Nodes, Policy, Scheduled Policy, and Networks.

     • To Encrypt the Autoscale Group select the Enable Encryption checkbox and Encryption should be Enable only during the creation of Autoscale Group.

• Encryption for the Autoscale Group will only be enabled during its creation.

     • Select the Create Scale.

  • The Encryption flag will not be visible to the user for NonEncrypted Autoscale Group.
