Autoscale Support for E1 Series Images

Overview​

E1 Series images support Autoscale, allowing users to automatically scale their workloads based on demand.

Key Details​

Storage Configuration​

  • The storage size of the autoscaled node will be exactly the same as the original node from which the image was created.
  • Users cannot modify the storage size of the autoscaled node.

IOPS Handling​

  • Any extra IOPS that were provisioned for the source node (for example, when availing extra storage) will also be available in the autoscaled nodes.

Billing​

  • Billing is done on an hourly basis for both the autoscaled node(s) and their associated storage.

Other Behavior​

  • All other features and configurations of Autoscale remain unchanged and function as before.
