--- title: "Sign up as an Indian customer" description: "Create a MyAccount account as an Indian organisation or individual, verify your email and mobile codes, and fill in Billing Information with a GSTIN or PAN." content_type: "how-to" product: "account" platform: "MyAccount" url: "/myaccount/account/how-to/sign-up-as-an-indian-customer/" topic: ["sign-up-and-verification"] --- # Sign up as an Indian customer Create a MyAccount account as an Indian organisation or an Indian individual, verify your email and mobile number, and fill in your **Billing Information**. Customer validation comes straight after; see [Complete customer validation (KYC)](/myaccount/account/how-to/complete-customer-validation/). Indian and international customers use the same sign-up form. The country you pick for your mobile number decides which you are until you set a billing address, so pick India (+91) for an Indian account. If you are signing up from outside India, see [Sign up as an international customer](/myaccount/account/how-to/sign-up-as-an-international-customer/). ## Before you begin Have these ready: - An email address not yet registered with E2E, where you receive a code. - An Indian mobile number that can receive text messages. One mobile number can be used on up to four accounts. - For an organisation: the organisation's GSTIN, or, without one, the organisation's PAN, the name on it, and its date of incorporation. - For an individual: your personal PAN, the name on it, and your date of birth. Sign-up asks for no payment, and you do not need a card to create your first resource. ## Fill in the sign-up form 1. Open `https://myaccount.e2enetworks.com/accounts/signup`. The page is headed **Welcome to E2E Networks**. 2. In **Name**, enter your full name: 4 to 100 letters, spaces, and hyphens. The last word becomes your last name. 3. Enter your mobile number. The country list starts on +91, which is India. 4. In **Email**, enter your email address. 5. In **Password**, enter a password of 16 to 30 characters with a number, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a special character. To have one made for you, click **Use Suggested Password**, which fills in a 19-character password. Save it in your password manager before you go on. 6. Three boxes are ticked for you. The box for the terms and privacy policy and **I accept the Required Consents (Essential for account creation)** are both required. To stop marketing emails, untick **I agree to receive Marketing Communications (Optional)**. 7. Click **Create Account**. It is available once every field is valid and both required boxes are ticked. The **Verification** screen opens. A field that needs fixing says so under it, for example **Minimum 4 characters are required.** under **Name**, or **Enter valid number** under the mobile number. To sign up with Google or GitHub instead, click **Google** or **GitHub** above the form. A short form asks for **Name**, **E-mail**, and your mobile number, with the same terms and consent boxes. Click **Sign up**. MyAccount checks only the code sent to your mobile number and sets no password; you can set one later with **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page. ## Verify your email and mobile number The **Verification** screen shows **Email code sent on** your email address and **SMS code sent on** your mobile number, each with six boxes. 1. Enter the six-digit code from the email. The email code expires after 3 minutes. 2. Enter the six-digit code from the text message. 3. Click **Verify**. MyAccount shows **Your mobile number and email address have been successfully verified!**, creates your account, and opens your dashboard. If a code does not arrive: - Check your spam folder for the email code. - **Resend Code** becomes available 60 seconds after a code is sent, for each code. - After you have resent the text message once and the 60 seconds have passed, **Receive OTP over call** appears under **Having trouble receiving SMS?**. A phone call reads the code to you. - To fix a typing mistake in your email or number, click **Change email** or **Change phone number**. The form opens again. After several requests, MyAccount stops sending new codes to that email address or mobile number for 30 minutes. Wait, then ask for a new code. A wrong code asks you to try again. After too many wrong tries, that code stops working and you ask for a new one. An expired code also needs a new one; click **Resend Code**. Your account now has two-factor authentication turned on, with codes sent to your mobile number by text message, and 10 backup codes. See [Set up two-factor authentication](/myaccount/account/how-to/set-up-two-factor-authentication/). The email you receive at sign-up is not the welcome email. The welcome email, with E2E's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy attached, arrives when your customer validation is approved. ## If sign-up is refused These messages appear after you click **Create Account**: - **A user is already registered with this e-mail address.** The email already has a MyAccount login. Sign in with it, or reset its password with [Reset your password](/myaccount/account/how-to/reset-your-password/). - The mobile number is already on four accounts: use another number, or write to sales@e2enetworks.com. - The number belongs to a suspended account: write to sales@e2enetworks.com. ## Open Complete Your Account Setup Your new dashboard asks you to complete your profile setup for full access to E2E's cloud services, with **Complete Setup** beside it. Click **Complete Setup**. **Complete Your Account Setup** opens, with two steps: **Billing Information** and then **Account Setup**. The same window opens when you click a create or pay button, such as **Launch** on a node, before setup is finished. ## Answer the country question Before **Billing Information**, a **Compliance** window asks a question that you answer once, yourself: **Is your company or its parent company registered in a country or region restricted by U.S. export laws?** Choose the answer that matches where your company is registered: - If your company is not registered in a restricted country or region, choose **No, not registered in a restricted country or region** and click **Confirm**. **Billing Information** opens. - If it is, choose **Yes**. This needs an export licence letter and a review by E2E before you can use the account. See [Answer the restricted-country question](/myaccount/account/how-to/answer-the-country-question/). ## Fill in Billing Information In **Billing Information**, you give the details that E2E, as a CERT-In compliant organisation, must collect. 1. In **Select Your Country**, choose India. 2. Choose the **Organisation** or **Individual** tab. Choose **Organisation** for a company, firm, or any business with its own GSTIN or PAN. Choose **Individual** when you are signing up for yourself with your personal PAN. An organisation with a GSTIN can skip the identity check: choose **Organisation**, give the GSTIN, and pick **Load Credits** at the next step. A payment of any amount then finishes setup. **Individual** takes only a GSTIN issued to a person, such as a sole proprietor's; a company's GSTIN there is refused with a prompt to sign up as an organisation. An individual, including a sole proprietor, completes customer validation. 3. Give your tax details, with a GSTIN or with a PAN, as described in the next two sections. 4. In **Nature of Business**, describe what you will use E2E for, in 10 to 400 characters. 5. Fill in **Work Load** and **Official Email**. For an organisation, also choose **Organization Type**. 6. Agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. 7. Click **Next**. The **Account Setup** step opens. If a detail does not pass the checks, **Next** shows **Invalid billing details provided. Please check and try again.** Check the details against your GSTIN or PAN and try again. ### With a GSTIN In **GSTIN**, enter your organisation's GSTIN. E2E looks it up on the GST registry, and it must be active there. - Your billing address is filled in from the GST registry. You cannot edit it on this step. - If the registry holds both, choose **Legal Name** or **Trade Name** for the name on your account. - A GSTIN carries its holder's PAN, so MyAccount takes your PAN from it and you cannot type a different one. Check that the GSTIN is your own before you go on. If MyAccount cannot accept the GSTIN, it shows one of these messages: - **Please enter valid GSTIN**: check the number for a typing mistake, and that the GSTIN is active. - **Your GSTIN do not relates to an individual**: the GSTIN belongs to a business. Use the **Organisation** tab. - **GSTIN entered by you is inactive**: tick **I do not have GSTIN** and use your PAN. You can add the GSTIN later. ### Without a GSTIN 1. Tick **I do not have GSTIN**. 2. Enter **PAN** and **Name on PAN card** exactly as they are on the card. 3. Enter **Date of Birth** for an individual, or **Date of Incorporation** for an organisation. 4. Click **Validate**. E2E checks the PAN against the name and the date. If MyAccount cannot accept the PAN, it shows one of these messages: - **Provided PAN card number is invalid** or **Enter valid PAN card number**: check the PAN for a typing mistake. - The name does not match the card: enter the name exactly as the card shows it. - The date does not match the card: enter the date on the card. MyAccount names **Date of Incorporation** instead of **Date of Birth** for an organisation. - **The PAN you entered is not of a Person. Kindly sign up as an Organization.**: the **Individual** tab needs a personal PAN. Use the **Organisation** tab. Check the PAN before you click **Next**, because it stays with the account. A GSTIN you add later must belong to the same PAN, and a different PAN needs a new sign-up. The billing country also stays India for the life of the account. You can add a GSTIN or change other billing details later on **Billing Details**; see [Update your billing details](/myaccount/billing/how-to/update-your-billing-details/). ## Choose how to finish setup **Account Setup** is the last step. What it offers depends on how you filled in **Billing Information**: - An organisation that entered a GSTIN chooses between **Customer Validation** and **Load Credits**. **Load Credits** finishes setup with a payment of any amount through **PayNow**. **Customer Validation** finishes it with an identity check of the person signing up. - Every other Indian account completes customer validation. You can validate with your Aadhaar and an OTP, or, with **Try other way**, with an ID document and a selfie. Both paths are on [Complete customer validation (KYC)](/myaccount/account/how-to/complete-customer-validation/). ## What you have now Your account exists, and it has one project, named `default-project-` followed by a number. Until customer validation is approved, or an organisation with a GSTIN has loaded infra credits, you can look around MyAccount, but anything that creates or changes a resource is refused. Next, [complete customer validation](/myaccount/account/how-to/complete-customer-validation/).
