You install extensions one at a time from the DBaaS instance's **Extensions** tab. ## Before you begin This works on a DBaaS instance that runs PostgreSQL, the engine with an **Extensions** tab. ## Install an extension 1. On the PostgreSQL DBaaS instance's **Extensions** tab, find the extension you want. 2. Choose the **Version** your application needs. 3. Click **Install**. The button reads **Installing...** while the install runs, then **Installed** when the extension is in place. A failed install leaves your DBaaS instance unaffected; click **Install** to try again. The extension is now installed on the DBaaS instance. To work with it, connect to the DBaaS instance; see [Connect to a DBaaS instance](/myaccount/database/how-to/connect-to-a-database/). If a restore of your own dump prints "Must be superuser to create this extension", see [Troubleshooting DBaaS](/myaccount/database/troubleshooting/database/#a-restore-prints-must-be-superuser-to-create-this-extension).
