--- title: "Create a Hugging Face integration" description: "Give a TIR project a Hugging Face access token so its model endpoints, fine-tuning jobs, and evaluations can download models and datasets." content_type: "how-to" product: "integrations" platform: "TIR" url: "/tir/integrations/how-to/create-a-hugging-face-integration/" topic: ["create"] --- # Create a Hugging Face integration A Hugging Face integration lets your project use models, datasets, and other resources on the Hugging Face Hub with your own access token. ## Before you begin - A TIR project and a role in IAM that allows Create on **External Integration**. - A Hugging Face access token. Get one from [Hugging Face Settings, Access Tokens](https://huggingface.co/settings/tokens). For a gated model, the model's owner must have granted access to the Hugging Face account that owns the token. ## Create it 1. In the side menu, under **PLATFORM SERVICES**, select **External Integrations**. 2. Select **Create Integration**. 3. Select **Hugging Face**. 4. Fill in the form. You must fill in both fields. | Field | What to enter | | ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Integration Name** | A name for this integration, up to 30 characters. Use lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens. Start with a letter and end with a letter or digit. TIR suggests a name. | | **Hugging Face Token** | Your Hugging Face access token, free of spaces. | 5. Select **Create**. TIR checks the token with Hugging Face, and saves the integration once Hugging Face accepts it. The token stays hidden once the integration is saved. You can use each name only once in a project, even after you delete that integration. You can also create a Hugging Face integration right from the form that needs one. See [Where integrations are used](/tir/integrations/concepts/where-integrations-are-used/). For help with a message you see when you create the integration, see [Troubleshooting External Integrations](/tir/integrations/troubleshooting/integrations/).
