# Switch between projects

Move to another project to work on its resources. Everything you then open or create belongs to that project.

## Before you begin

You need to be a member of the project. An Admin or the Owner can switch to every project.

## Switch with the Project selector

1. Open the **Project** selector at the top of the side menu. It lists your projects.
2. Choose a project, or type part of its name to find it.

The project's **Dashboard** opens. See [Use the project dashboard](/tir/projects/how-to/use-the-project-dashboard/).

## Switch from the Projects list

Each project is listed with who created it and when.

- To open a project, select it. It opens on its **Dashboard**.
- To open a project's settings, select its settings icon.
- To go back to the project you are in, select **Go to Dashboard**.
