The disk and its files stay as they were. ## Before you begin - A role that lets you update instances. - Your work saved. Unmounting on a running instance restarts it, and a stopped instance applies the change at its next start. ## Unmount the disk 1. Tick **Are you sure you want to continue updating datasets?** and select **Update** again. ## Check the result The disk loses its **Mounted** label on the **Associated Datasets** tab, and it stays in your **Block Storage (Disk Dataset)** list with its files.
