--- title: "Billing for TIR DBaaS" description: "How a TIR DBaaS database is priced, from an hourly compute plan and a disk priced per GB per month, and where the portal shows the estimate." content_type: "concept" product: "tir-dbaas" platform: "TIR" url: "/tir/tir-dbaas/concepts/billing-options/" topic: ["billing"] --- # Billing for TIR DBaaS A TIR DBaaS database has two prices: the compute plan, priced per hour, and the disk, priced per GB per month. Both are shown in your account's currency on the create page. For the rates, see [E2E's pricing page](https://www.e2enetworks.com/pricing). ## The plan and the disk Each plan has a price per hour. You can choose only from the plans priced in your account's currency. The plan stays the same for the life of the database. The disk is priced separately from the plan, per month: the size in GB times the price per GB per month. After you increase the storage, **Price** on **Overview** covers the new size. You can increase the storage, and each increase is permanent. See [Edit a database](/tir/tir-dbaas/how-to/edit-a-database/). ## The estimate before you launch **Estimated cost**, next to **Launch Database**, adds the two together as a price per hour: the plan's hourly price plus the disk's monthly price spread over 730 hours, with about how much that comes to per month. Once the database exists, **Price** under **Plan & Usage** on the **Overview** tab gives an approximate hourly price for the plan and the storage together. ## Credit for a prepaid account On a prepaid account, TIR checks your credit before it creates the database. TIR creates the database only when your credit covers it; otherwise the portal tells you how many more credits to buy. To add credit, see [Pay now in TIR](/tir/tir-billing/how-to/pay-now/). ## Restored databases Restoring a snapshot creates a new database with the source's plan and storage size. A restored database is a separate database with its own price. See [Restore a database from a snapshot](/tir/tir-dbaas/how-to/restore-from-a-snapshot/).
