When the alert fires, the monitoring integrations set on it get email, Slack, or webhook messages. ## Before you begin - A Load Balancer in the **Running** state. An alert attaches only while the Load Balancer is running. - An alert made for the **Load Balancer** resource type, in the same project and region as the Load Balancer. To make one, see [Create an alert](/tir/alerts/how-to/create-an-alert/). - The read permission on the Load Balancer service to open the tab. See [TIR Access Control](/tir/tir-iam/). ## Attach an alert 1. In the side menu, under **Compute**, select **Load Balancer**, then select the Load Balancer's name. 2. Select the **Alerts** tab. Here you attach alerts you have already created to this Load Balancer. 3. Attach the alert you want. Each alert can be attached to a Load Balancer only once. For the fields of the attach step and the list of alerts on the tab, see [Attach an alert to a resource](/tir/alerts/how-to/attach-an-alert-to-a-resource/). To see the figures an alert watches, read [Monitor a Load Balancer](/tir/tir-load-balancer/how-to/monitor-a-load-balancer/). Deleting a Load Balancer also tries to remove the alerts attached to it; see [Delete a Load Balancer](/tir/tir-load-balancer/how-to/delete-a-load-balancer/). For help, see [Troubleshooting TIR Load Balancer](/tir/tir-load-balancer/troubleshooting/tir-load-balancer/).
