The IP must be **Available**, so if it is **Attached**, [detach it](/tir/tir-reserved-ip/how-to/detach-a-reserved-ip/) from every resource first. You can transfer to any other project in the same account except an AI Labs or private workspace project. Only a public IP can be transferred. To use a VPC IP (**Type** Private) in another project, delete it and reserve a new one there. ## Transfer the IP 1. In TIR, open your project. In the side menu, under **PLATFORM SERVICES**, select **Networking**, then **Reserve IP**. 2. In the row of the IP, open the **Action** menu and select **Transfer IP**. 3. In **Transfer Reserve IP**, open **Select Project** and choose the target project. The list holds every other project of your account. 4. Select **Transfer IP**. The IP leaves this project's list and appears in the target project's list, where you can attach it. If the transfer is refused, see [Troubleshooting Reserve IP](/tir/tir-reserved-ip/troubleshooting/tir-reserved-ip/).
