Qdrant. See [Vector Database](/tir/vector-database/) and [Create a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/create-a-vector-database/). ### Which regions have Vector Database? Delhi and Chennai. See [Create a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/create-a-vector-database/). ### Can I run a database on my own private cluster? Yes. Choose **Private Cluster** under **Select Plan**. See [Create a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/create-a-vector-database/). ### Which key should I give to an application that only reads data? The **Read-only API Key**. See [Connect to a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/connect-to-a-vector-database/). ### Which ports does a database use? 6333 for REST and 6334 for gRPC. See [Connect to a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/connect-to-a-vector-database/). ### Can I use LangChain or LlamaIndex with it? Yes. See [Use Qdrant with LangChain](/tir/vector-database/how-to/use-qdrant-with-langchain/) and [Use Qdrant with LlamaIndex](/tir/vector-database/how-to/use-qdrant-with-llamaindex/). ### Is there an API? Yes. Through the [TIR API](/api/tir/) you can list, create, show, update and delete databases, resize their disks, and list, take, restore and delete snapshots. See [Vector Database](/tir/vector-database/). ### Who can create, change and delete a database? A role with Create permission on Vector Database can create a database and take a snapshot. Update permission lets a role start, stop and scale up a database, resize its disk and restore a snapshot. Delete permission lets a role delete a database or a snapshot. See [Create a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/create-a-vector-database/). ### What happens if there is no capacity for my plan? The create is refused with "Inventory temporarily unavailable. Please try again after some time." before any database exists, so the attempt is free. Try again later, or choose another plan. See [Create a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/create-a-vector-database/). ## Nodes and disks ### How many nodes can a database have? 3 to 10. You choose the count when you create the database and can raise it later. See [Scale up a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/scale-up-a-vector-database/). ### Can I add more nodes to my Qdrant cluster later? Yes. Add nodes at any time while the database is **Running**, up to 10. See [Scale up a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/scale-up-a-vector-database/). ### Can I remove nodes? No. The node count can only go up. See [Scale up a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/scale-up-a-vector-database/). ### Does a new node hold my data? No. A node you add starts empty, and your data stays on the existing nodes until you spread it. See [Use new nodes after you scale up](/tir/vector-database/how-to/use-new-nodes/). ### How big is each node's disk, and can I change it? Each node starts with a 30 GB disk. You can grow it up to 1,000 GB, and each increase is permanent. See [Resize the disk of a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/resize-the-disk/). ### Can I undo disk encryption after I create the database? No. You choose encryption on the create form, and it stays on for as long as the database exists. See [Create a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/create-a-vector-database/). ### Where can I see the CPU and memory use of my database? On the **Monitoring** tab. See [Monitor a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/monitor-a-vector-database/). ## Snapshots ### Can I take two snapshots at the same time? No. A database makes one snapshot at a time, and it needs at least one collection. See [Take a snapshot of a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/take-a-snapshot/). ### Can I scale up or stop a database while a snapshot is in progress? No. Wait until the snapshot is **Created** or **Failed**. See [Take a snapshot of a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/take-a-snapshot/). ### Can I use the dashboard while a snapshot restores? No. The dashboard and scale up return when the restore finishes. See [Restore a snapshot of a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/restore-a-snapshot/). ### Are snapshots deleted when I delete the database? Yes. The database's snapshots are deleted with it. See [Delete a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/delete-a-vector-database/). ## Billing ### Am I charged while a database is stopped? Yes, for storage only. Compute charges stop, while disk above 30 GB per node and snapshots stay charged. See [Vector Database billing](/tir/vector-database/concepts/vector-database-billing/). ### How do I stop every charge? Delete the database. See [Delete a vector database](/tir/vector-database/how-to/delete-a-vector-database/). ### Is a node's first 30 GB of disk charged? No. The first 30 GB of every node is part of the node's price. See [Vector Database billing](/tir/vector-database/concepts/vector-database-billing/). ### Is a database on a private cluster charged for compute? No. You pay for the cluster's nodes. Disk above 30 GB per node and snapshots are still charged. See [Vector Database billing](/tir/vector-database/concepts/vector-database-billing/). ### What happens to billing when I add nodes or resize the disk? The new nodes are charged from the moment you add them, and the disk charge follows the new size on every node. See [Vector Database billing](/tir/vector-database/concepts/vector-database-billing/).
