Delete a token when a tool is done with it, when you rotate tokens, or when you think it has leaked. Deleting a token revokes only that token. Your password, your other tokens, and your signed-in sessions stay as they are.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need a role with Delete permission on Personal Access Tokens in the project.
Check what uses the token first. After you delete it, every script, tool, or pipeline that uses it loses access, and the deletion is permanent. You can create a new token for the same purpose.
Delete the token
Section titled “Delete the token”- In TIR, open the project that holds the token. In the side menu, under PLATFORM SERVICES, select Personal Access Tokens.
- In the token’s row, open the delete action in Actions.
- In the Delete Token dialog, select Delete.
The token disappears from the list, and TIR refuses every call made with it from then on.
You can delete only tokens you created, in the project you have open. If the delete fails, you see “Unable to delete token.” and the token stays in the list. Try again, and see Troubleshooting Personal Access Tokens if it keeps failing.
To rotate a token, create a new one under a new name, since the old name stays taken. Move everything that uses the old token to the new one, then delete the old token.
