A project is the workspace where your TIR resources live: instances, VMs, datasets, model endpoints, pipelines, and the rest. Everything you create belongs to the project you are working in, and the people you add to a project work on its resources. Use one project per piece of work, such as a product, a client, or a research effort, so each keeps its own resources, people, and costs apart.
TIR opens on the dashboard of a default project, ready for your first resources. Add more projects as your work grows.
Where to find your projects
Section titled “Where to find your projects”The Project selector at the top of the side menu lists your projects. Choose a project to switch to it, or type part of its name to search. The project opens on its Dashboard, which shows what the project holds and starts common tasks. Create Project sits under the selector.
Project Settings
Section titled “Project Settings”Each project has its own Project Settings. To open it while you are in the project, select Project Settings in the side menu. You can also select the project’s settings icon in the Projects list.
Project Settings has five tabs:
| Tab | What you do there |
|---|---|
| General | Change the project’s name and description, or delete the project. See Update or delete a project. |
| Project Members | Add people to the project, change their project role, or remove them. See Manage project members and policies. |
| Resource Usage | See how much each kind of resource in the project has been used, and what it cost. See View resource usage and activity. |
| Activity Timeline | See the actions taken in the project. See View resource usage and activity. |
| Policies | Create the policies that decide which services a Member can use. See Policies. |
What you can change on each tab depends on your role; see Roles and permissions.
