Create an SFS, ready to mount, in your project and region. All it needs is a name and a size.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- A TIR project, and a role with the Dataset permission in its policy set. The same permission covers Object Storage, Block Storage, and Parallel File System, so you already have it if one of those works for you.
- Enough project credit for the size you plan to create. TIR checks your credit first and creates the SFS only when your credit covers that size.
Open the create form
Section titled “Open the create form”In TIR, open your project. In the side menu, under Storage, select Shared File System, then select Create Shared File-System.
Name the SFS
Section titled “Name the SFS”Type a name under Shared File-System Name. It can be up to 30 characters, starting with a letter and ending with a letter or digit. In between, use only lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens. Choose a name that is unique in the project.
Set the size
Section titled “Set the size”Set SFS Size with the slider or the number field. It starts at 500 GB and runs from 250 GB up, in steps of 50 GB. The top of the range is your account’s SFS size limit: 64,000 GB (64 TB) unless E2E has set a different limit for your account. The form shows the per-GB monthly price for your account’s currency; for the full rate, see E2E Networks pricing.
If you later need more than your account’s limit allows, Increase the size of an SFS covers asking E2E to raise it.
Create the SFS
Section titled “Create the SFS”Select Create. The SFS is created at once and listed in Shared File System. If the create fails, TIR says what to fix, such as an invalid name or a size outside your allowed range.
Start using the SFS
Section titled “Start using the SFS”Your SFS is in the Shared File System list with its name, size, and the date it was created. To start using it, see Mount an SFS on an instance or Mount an SFS on a training job. For any message the form shows, see Troubleshooting TIR Shared File System.
