Deleting an SFS removes its storage and every file on it for good, and stops billing for it.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- The Dataset permission in your project policy. SFS shares this permission with Object Storage, Block Storage, and Parallel File System.
- Copies of any files you need, kept somewhere else, such as TIR Datasets or storage outside TIR. Deleting an SFS is permanent.
- The SFS unmounted from every instance and out of use by every active training job. If it is still in use, the delete is refused with a list of the instances or jobs using it. See Mount an SFS on an instance.
Delete the SFS
Section titled “Delete the SFS”- In Manage Shared File-System, open the SFS’s Actions menu and select Delete File-System.
- Tick “I understand and want to delete file-system
<name>.”, where<name>is the SFS’s name. - Select Delete.
The SFS leaves your list. Deleting an instance or a training job works differently: any SFS it had mounted stays in the list, ready to mount elsewhere, until you delete it yourself.
For help with a delete message, see Troubleshooting TIR Shared File System.
