Volume monitoring tracks a volume’s performance, usage, and read and write operations. To see monitoring data, you first tell the node’s monitoring agent to report on the volume, by adding a user parameter.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- A volume attached to a node. See Attach a volume.
Enable monitoring on the node
Section titled “Enable monitoring on the node”On a Linux node, SSH in and add the user parameter, then restart the agent:
echo "UserParameter=mountpoint[*], grep \"/dev/\$1\" /proc/mounts | cut -f2 -d' '" >> /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf && systemctl restart zabbix-agentThe user parameter tells the monitoring agent to report which device is mounted where. If you have recently mounted the volume, wait 10 to 15 minutes for monitoring data to appear.
View the monitoring graphs
Section titled “View the monitoring graphs”Once monitoring is enabled and some time has passed, open the volume in the MyAccount portal to see a graph of its performance and usage. See Troubleshooting Volumes if no graph appears.
With the charts in view, you can spot slow reads, slow writes, or a filling disk early. When the volume runs short of space, upgrade it.
