Each VPC keeps graphs of its peering connections: how much traffic comes in and goes out through the tunnel, and whether the tunnel was up. Use them to confirm that a new connection carries traffic, or to find when a connection dropped.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- A VPC with a peering connection. See Peer two VPCs.
Open the graphs
Section titled “Open the graphs”- Open Network > VPC, select the VPC, and open its Monitoring tab.
- Under Peering Connection, choose the connection to show.
- Under Time Range, choose how far back to look: Last Hour, Last 6 Hours, Last 12 Hours, Last 24 Hours, or Last 1 Week.
Read the graphs
Section titled “Read the graphs”- Inbound Traffic is the traffic that reached this VPC through the tunnel.
- Outbound Traffic is the traffic this VPC sent through it.
- Tunnel Activity shows whether the tunnel was up:
1means active, and0means it was not.
A healthy connection holds Tunnel Activity at 1, with traffic on the other two graphs whenever
your resources talk to each other. A drop to 0 marks when the tunnel went down. If it is still
down,
Pause, restart, or delete a peering connection
shows how to restart it, and Troubleshooting VPC covers what
else to check.
