AI Labs
AI Labs is a TIR workspace for teaching AI. An Admin sets up an organization and Professors publish courses in it. Learners work through the course material and practise on GPU instances, datasets, and model endpoints. Every learner works inside the limits their group sets.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”Set up and run a class
Section titled “Set up and run a class”- Create an AI Labs organization for a class or a team, on an hourly or committed plan.
- Manage AI Labs groups and members: set what learners can launch, and invite Admins, Professors, and learners.
- Create an AI Labs course with modules, learners, and a shared dataset.
- Run an AI Labs organization: stop or start it, free up its GPUs, convert it to a committed plan, monitor it, and delete it.
Learn in a course
Section titled “Learn in a course”The learner guide covers opening your courses, launching instances, and working with datasets, model repositories, endpoints, the Playground, integrations, and tokens.
AI Labs has three roles. An Admin runs the account, a Professor teaches in an organization, and a learner takes courses and practises. An Admin belongs to the whole AI Labs account. A Professor or a learner belongs to one organization.

How each role gets in
Section titled “How each role gets in”In TIR, the AI Labs item in the side menu is there for the account owner, Admins, and Professors. It opens the AI Labs portal. Learners reach AI Labs through the invitation email.
What a learner sees
Section titled “What a learner sees”A learner sees the organizations they belong to and, in each, the courses they were added to. A learner can view and download course files. Admins and Professors upload and change them. A learner works only with the instances, datasets, model repositories, endpoints, integrations, and tokens they created.
A learner’s group decides which services they can use and how many instances they can run on each plan. See Create and manage groups and Add and manage members.
Where to start
Section titled “Where to start”An Admin starts with Get started with AI Labs, which sets up an organization, a learner, and a course. The AI Labs FAQ has short answers, and Troubleshooting AI Labs explains the messages you see.
