What is the difference between an hourly and a committed organization?

Section titled “What is the difference between an hourly and a committed organization?”

An hourly organization is billed for the hours it runs, and you can stop it. A committed organization is for long, fixed-length use at a discounted price, and it cannot be stopped until the period ends. See Create an organization.

Can I move an hourly organization to a committed plan?

Section titled “Can I move an hourly organization to a committed plan?”

Yes. Use Convert to Committed and choose a renewal policy. See Convert an organization to a committed plan.

What happens to an organization when its committed period ends?

Section titled “What happens to an organization when its committed period ends?”

It follows the renewal policy you chose. Auto-Renew renews it, Auto-Hourly moves it to an hourly plan, and Auto-Delete deletes it. See Convert an organization to a committed plan.

What happens when I delete an organization?

Section titled “What happens when I delete an organization?”

All its data and resources are removed permanently. See Delete an organization.

No. Stop and start are for hourly organizations. A committed organization keeps running until its commitment period ends. See Run an AI Labs organization.

Does billing stop when I stop an organization?

Section titled “Does billing stop when I stop an organization?”

Yes. Billing for the organization ends while it is stopped and resumes when you start it. Free up resources leaves the organization active. After you use it, datasets for courses, modules, and courseware, and datasets that learners created, keep billing. See Run an AI Labs organization.

What happens to learners when I stop the organization?

Section titled “What happens to learners when I stop the organization?”

Their instances and endpoints stop. Learners can start new ones again once you start the organization, and they can create datasets in the meantime. See Run an AI Labs organization.

How do I stop all compute without stopping the organization?

Section titled “How do I stop all compute without stopping the organization?”

Use Free up resources. It stops every instance and inference service and leaves the organization active. See Run an AI Labs organization.

Which group does a learner join if I do not choose one?

Section titled “Which group does a learner join if I do not choose one?”

No. The Default group stays in every organization. See Create and manage groups.

How do I limit how many instances a learner runs?

What happens to a member’s resources when I remove the member?

Section titled “What happens to a member’s resources when I remove the member?”

The member’s instances, endpoints, model repositories, integrations, and datasets are deleted. This applies to every learner, so ask your learners to save their work first. See Add and manage members.

No. A learner can view and download course material. Admins and Professors manage it. See View your courses and course material.

Only learners added to a course can open it. See Add learners to a course.
