See how far a run has got, and read a step’s logs to find out why it failed. You need read permission on the pipeline service.
Find a run
Section titled “Find a run”In Manage Pipelines, Recent Runs has the status of each pipeline’s last three runs. Hover over one to see its times, and select it to open the run. For all of a pipeline’s runs, with their durations, times, and statuses, select the pipeline and open Pipeline Runs. Use Filter by Version to see one version’s runs.
A run’s status is one of these:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting to run. |
| Running | Running now. |
| Succeeded | Finished successfully. |
| Failed | Ended before finishing. |
| Error | An error happened while running. |
| Terminating | Being stopped. |
| Terminated | Stopped by hand. |
| Skipped | Left out of the run. |
| Cached | Left out, with its outputs taken from an earlier run. |
| Omitted | Left out because the step before it failed. |
| Unknown | The state could not be read. |
Open the run
Section titled “Open the run”Select the run’s name to open its Graph and Config tabs.
- Graph has the steps that are running or have finished; steps still to come are added as they start. Select a step to open its panel, with Details and Logs. Details gives the step’s ID, name, status, times, and duration.
- Config has the run’s ID, workflow name, status, description, times, and duration. TIR
generates the workflow name, in place of the
namein your file.
The page keeps updating until the run has finished. If a run fails, its error is at the top of the page, and a step that failed or hit an error has its message above the tabs.
Read a step’s logs
Section titled “Read a step’s logs”- Select the step in Graph, then Logs.
- Use the refresh button to fetch the newest lines.
Logs are available while the step runs and after the run finishes. For help when the tab cannot retrieve the logs, see Troubleshooting Pipelines.
To act on the run, retry, terminate, or delete it.
