Create your first bucket and upload a file to it from the dashboard. A MyAccount account is all you need to start.
Create a bucket
Section titled “Create a bucket”Open Storage > Object Storage and click Add Bucket. Enter a name of 3 to 63 characters,
lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, starting and ending with a letter or number; it must be unique across every E2E account, must not
be formatted like an IP address (for example, 203.0.113.1), and it stays fixed once created.
Choose Delhi or Chennai as the region.
Set Object Lock and E2E Managed Encryption now: this form is the only place to turn them on. Object Lock is for data that must not change or be deleted for a set time, such as records you keep for an audit. E2E Managed Encryption is for data you want encrypted where it is stored. If you need either, check it on this form now; Create a bucket explains each option. For a first bucket to try things out, leave both unchecked. Object Versioning can be turned on at any time.
Click Create Bucket. The bucket shows up in your bucket list right away. An empty bucket costs nothing. If the name is refused, see Troubleshooting E2E Object Storage.
Upload your first file
Section titled “Upload your first file”On the bucket’s Objects tab, click Upload, choose a file from your computer, and confirm. It appears in the object list once the upload finishes, with a Download icon next to it. A file of any size uploads this way.
What to do next with your bucket
Section titled “What to do next with your bucket”- Generate an access key: the way in for a script, an app, or a CLI tool, instead of the dashboard.
- S3 compatibility: which tools work against your bucket, and where bucket-level work happens instead.
- Create a bucket: the full create flow, including Object Versioning, Object Lock, and encryption, that these steps left at their defaults.
- Share an object with a presigned URL: send the file you uploaded to someone without an account.
