Deleting a reserved IP releases it from your account. For a public IP, this also stops its monthly charge. A VPC IP gives both of its addresses, the IP and the Egress IP, back to the VPC.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need a role with Delete permission on reserved IPs. The IP must be Available, so if it is Attached, detach it from every resource first. A deleted IP is released from your account for good.
To use a VPC IP in another project, delete it and reserve a new one there. Only a public IP can be transferred.
