Logs and Timeline

Two tabs record what has happened to a scale group: Audit Logs captures the Scaler's own state changes, and Activity Timeline captures the management actions performed on the group. Both are available once the group has finished its initial deploy (that is, when it is not in the Creating or Deploying Nets state).

Audit Logs

The Audit Logs tab is the Scaler's running log of the scale group's state transitions — for example, when nodes are added, removed, or the group enters cooldown.

ColumnWhat it shows
Log Created atWhen the log entry was recorded.
StateThe state or message the Scaler recorded.

Use this tab to see, in order, what the Scaler did and when — which is the quickest way to confirm whether a scaling decision actually fired.

Activity Timeline

The Activity Timeline tab is the audit trail of management actions performed on the scale group. Use the Select Month picker to choose the month and year to view.

Recorded events include:

  • Launch — the scale group was created.
  • Update Policy — node counts or policies were edited.
  • Resize — the active node count was changed manually.
  • Terminate — the scale group was deleted.
  • Attach/Detach Security Group, Attach/Detach VPC, and Attach/Detach Public IP — network and security changes.

Each entry records the event, its timestamp, who performed it, and whether it succeeded.
