Committed Kubernetes Plans

Overview

Committed plans are available for both Master Nodes and Worker Node Pools, allowing flexibility and cost efficiency tailored to your Kubernetes needs. We also provide plenty of management features to ensure seamless control over your cluster.

How Committed Plans Work

  • The committed period for Kubernetes nodes depends on the selected plan.
  • Infra credits for the committed plan are deducted in full at the time of launching the plan. (For postpaid customers, the full cost of a committed plan is added to the next bill.)
  • Both Master Nodes and Worker Node Pools can be launched under hourly or committed plans.

Once you have launched your Kubernetes cluster, you can manage your cluster's master and worker nodes via the My Account Portal dashboard.

Converting Hourly Kubernetes Nodes to Committed Plans

If you've launched Kubernetes nodes on an hourly plan, you can convert them into committed plans to save more. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Kubernetes page in your My Account Portal.

    Kubernetes Dashboard

  2. Select the Master Node or Worker Node Pool you wish to convert to a committed plan.

  3. Click on the Convert to Committed action.

    Convert Action

  4. In the Convert to Committed window, select the desired committed plan from the dropdown list.

    Select Plan

  5. Confirm your acknowledgment by ticking the checkbox.

  6. Click the Convert button.

Once converted, you’ll receive an email notification confirming the successful update.

Managing Committed Kubernetes Settings

After launching a Kubernetes cluster with a committed plan, you can manage its settings as needed. Follow these steps to access and update committed Kubernetes settings:

  1. Go to the Kubernetes page in your My Account Portal.

    Kubernetes Dashboard

  2. Select the cluster (Master Node or Worker Node Pool) with the committed plan.

  3. Click on the Committed Kubernetes Settings action.

    Settings Action

  4. In the settings window, update the renewal or billing preferences.

    Update Preferences

Renewal Options

Committed Kubernetes plans provide the following renewal options:

Auto-Renewal

The default option for committed Kubernetes plans. Once the committed period ends, the plan will auto-renew with the same settings. You can choose a different plan, but the changes will take effect only after the current committed period ends.

Hourly Billing

If selected, the nodes will switch to hourly billing after the committed period ends, providing flexibility to terminate or modify the cluster without restrictions.

Note

Unlike committed Load Balancer plans, committed Kubernetes plans do not support auto-termination after the committed period.
