In Delhi, a node can carry an IPv6 address alongside its IPv4 one. You can make it the node’s default public address from the start, or attach it as an extra address later. A node can hold up to eight active IPv6 addresses at once, and that limit is the same for every node family.
To make IPv6 the node’s default public address, turn it on while you create the node. IPv6 sits under Advanced settings on the create-node page. It is offered only when you are creating in Delhi.
To add an IPv6 address to a node you have already created, remove its lock first.
Open the node’s Network tab and choose to attach an IPv6 address; the option shows only for nodes where IPv6 is available. Confirm, and the new address joins the node’s existing ones, up to the limit of eight. It shows in the IPv6 section of the Network tab, with a copy icon beside it. To check it, connect to the node on that address from a machine that has IPv6.
Remove an IPv6 address
Section titled “Remove an IPv6 address”From the same Network tab, click Detach IP next to the address you no longer need. The node needs to be unlocked first, the same as for attaching one.
If an address will not attach or detach, see Troubleshooting node networking and connectivity.
