Answer the restricted-country question

View as Markdown

E2E follows U.S. export laws, which restrict cloud services to companies registered in certain countries and regions. Before you fill in Billing Information, MyAccount asks whether your company is registered in one of them. If it is not, you answer No and go straight on. If your company is registered in a restricted country or region, you can still ask for access with an export licence letter, which E2E reviews.

Sign-up itself asks no country question. Its mobile number list holds only the countries E2E serves, and none of them is restricted.

Make sure that:

  • You have signed up and verified your codes. See Sign up as an Indian customer or Sign up as an international customer.
  • You know where your company and its parent company are registered.
  • If either is registered in a restricted country or region, you have your Specific Export License under U.S. export law as a PDF of up to 4 MB.

E2E keeps the list of restricted countries and regions, and it can change. Read the current list on E2E’s list of restricted countries and regions, which the Compliance window also links to.

Click Complete Setup on your dashboard. The Compliance window opens before Billing Information and asks: Is your company or its parent company registered in a country or region restricted by U.S. export laws?

You answer it yourself. MyAccount reads nothing from your mobile number or your address to answer it.

  1. Choose No, not registered in a restricted country or region.
  2. Click Confirm. Billing Information opens.

If you click Confirm without choosing an answer, MyAccount shows Please choose an option.

You answer this question once. A Yes restricts the account until E2E has reviewed your letter, so answer Yes only if your company or its parent company is registered in a restricted country or region.

  1. Choose Yes.
  2. In Select Country or Region, choose the country or region where your company is registered.
  3. Upload your authorization letter: a Specific Export License under U.S. export law, as a PDF of up to 4 MB.
  4. Click Confirm.

If the file is refused, the window says why:

  • Max. allowed file size is 4 MB. Make the PDF smaller and upload it again.
  • Please upload the file in PDF format. Save the letter as a PDF and upload it again.

E2E’s compliance team reviews your letter. The review takes up to 72 hours, and the result comes to you by email.

While the review is open, your dashboard shows Authorization Under Review, and services are temporarily unavailable.

During the review, the account is restricted:

  • Every page except the dashboard, Compliance Documents & Certificates, Customer Validation, and invitations sends you back to the dashboard. Billing is closed too.
  • A create button and a payment are both unavailable until the review is decided.
  • MyAccount refuses every other request.

For questions about your review, write to compliance@e2enetworks.com.

  • Approved: the restriction is lifted, and you go on with Billing Information and customer validation. See Complete customer validation (KYC).
  • Not approved: the dashboard shows Service Unavailable in Your Region, with “We are unable to provide services in this country or region.” The account stays restricted, and the answer cannot be sent again. This decision is final.

Once your customer validation is approved, your answer to the country question cannot be changed either. MyAccount reads Your KYC validation is done. You cannot change this.

With No confirmed, or your letter approved, go on to Billing Information: see Sign up as an Indian customer or Sign up as an international customer. If the Compliance window itself shows a message you are unsure about, see Troubleshooting your account.
