Attach a tag to a resource to find it quickly and group it with others that share the tag.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need:
- A resource already created, in the project you are in. You attach a tag from the resource’s list page after you create the resource.
- (Optional) A tag already created; see Create a tag. You can also create one while attaching it.
Where you can tag a resource
Section titled “Where you can tag a resource”A resource’s own list page shows a Tags column. You can attach a tag to Node, Volumes, Saved Images, E2E Object Storage buckets, DBaaS, Parameter Group, CDP Backup, Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, Kubernetes, Secrets Management, VPC, Security Group, Reserved IP, Firewall, CDN, Private Cluster, and SFS.
Attach a tag
Section titled “Attach a tag”- On the resource’s list page, find its row. The Tags column shows up to two tags; a third tag and beyond collapse into …more.
- Click the tag icon beside the resource’s name to open the Tags panel. It lists the project’s tags.
- Tick the tags you want on this resource. (Optional) To use a tag that does not exist yet, click Create New and enter a Tag Name: MyAccount applies it along with the ones you ticked.
- Click Apply Tags.
MyAccount confirms that the tag was created, if you created one, and the resource’s row shows the tags you applied.
Remove a tag
Section titled “Remove a tag”- On the resource’s row, click the x beside the tag. It comes off at once, with no confirmation.
- From the Tags panel, untick the tag and click Apply Tags.
Filter a list by tag
Section titled “Filter a list by tag”On the resource’s list page, use Filter by tag to choose a tag from the project’s list. The list narrows to the resources that carry it.
Tags help you find and sort resources in MyAccount; they do not appear on billing, a cost report, or any billing export. To rename or delete a tag itself, see Create a tag.
