Get started with Billing
Add infra credits to your account, set an alert so you hear before the balance runs low, and read your first day of usage. You need a MyAccount account. New accounts are prepaid, so the steps here add credits rather than pay an invoice. On a postpaid account, start with Pay an invoice.
Add infra credits
Section titled “Add infra credits”Open Billing > Pay Now. In Add Required Infra Credits, enter how many credits you want. One credit is one rupee before GST on an INR account. The Summary shows the GST line and the Net Payable Amount, which is what you will be charged.
Click Proceed to pay. The payment gateway opens: Razorpay on an INR account, with cards, net banking, UPI, and wallets; Stripe on a USD account, with a card. Complete the payment there.
Back in MyAccount, the credits are on your balance and the payment is the first row under Last 5 Transactions. An invoice for the purchase appears under Billing > Account Statement > Invoices.
Turn on a low balance alert
Section titled “Turn on a low balance alert”Open Billing > Auto Pay and turn on Enable low Infra credits notification. Enter the balance at which you want an email, at least 1,000 credits on an INR account. Turn on I also want SMS notification for a text as well, then click Save.
The alert needs no card. From now on, the account emails you when the balance falls below the limit.
Read your first day’s usage
Section titled “Read your first day’s usage”Usage is deducted once every few hours and shows on your statement as Daily usage. A few hours after you launch something, open Billing > Account Statement and click Usage Details. Each row is one resource for one day, with its rate, the hours used, the amount, and the project it belongs to. Infra Credit Details shows the running balance, with Infra Credits Used and Infra Credits Available totals.
What to do next
Section titled “What to do next”- Set up AutoPay so the account buys credits for you when the balance is low.
- Read your account statement for invoices, the ledger, monthly usage, and cost analysis.
- Prepaid and postpaid accounts explains what happens if the balance goes negative, and how licensed and committed plans are charged.
If a payment does not go through, see Troubleshooting Billing.
