Claim back the TDS you deducted: as released credits on a prepaid account, or as a bank refund on a postpaid one. TDS applies to Indian accounts. E2E sets the TDS rate for your account.
On a prepaid account with TDS enabled, every purchase on Pay Now shows Infra credits withheld: you pay for more credits than land on your balance, and the difference waits for your certificate. On a postpaid account you pay each invoice less TDS and upload the signed certificate for the quarter. Until it is accepted, the deducted amount counts as unpaid on your account, and a certificate that stays missing can lead to the services being suspended.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”Make sure that you have:
- Your Form 16A for the quarter, as a PDF that is signed and has no password.
- On a postpaid account, a cancelled cheque of the bank account for the refund, as a JPEG, JPG, or PNG up to 1 MB, and the account’s number, holder name, bank, type, and IFSC.
Upload each quarter’s certificate within the statutory deadline for that quarter.
Upload the certificate
Section titled “Upload the certificate”- Open Billing > TDS. It opens on Submit TDS Certificate.
- Click Upload TDS Certificate.
- Choose the PDF, then the Financial Year and Quarter it covers, and click Submit.
The certificate joins the list with Date (IST), File Name, Financial Year, Quarter, Status, and Amount Refunded. While its status is Verification pending you can delete it from Action and upload the right file; after review it can no longer be deleted. You are emailed when the review completes, with the status Verification Complete or Verification Fail.
Add a bank account for the refund
Section titled “Add a bank account for the refund”These steps are for a postpaid account. On a prepaid account the withheld credits are released to your balance and no bank account is needed.
- Click Manage Bank Account, then Add Bank Account.
- Upload the cancelled cheque, and enter the Account Holder Name, Bank Account Number, Bank Name, Account Type (Current or Saving), and IFSC Code as they appear on the cheque.
- Click Submit.
The account is listed with the status Pending until the finance team approves it, then Approved, with Is Active showing which account receives refunds. One account is active at a time.
When the refund lands
Section titled “When the refund lands”On a prepaid account, Amount Refunded on the certificate’s row shows the credits released, and they appear on Billing > Account Statement > TDS Details and on your balance. On a postpaid account, the amount reaches the active bank account, and the row shows it.
For how TDS shows on a purchase, see Buy infra credits. For E2E’s own 206AB declaration, which lets you deduct at the normal rate, see Download compliance documents. If an upload is refused, see Troubleshooting Billing.
