DBaaS in Private Cluster
A DBaaS in a Private Cluster provides managed database services within a secure, isolated network to ensure:
- Enhanced Security
- Low Latency
- Compliance & Control
Steps to Create a DBaaS in a Private Cluster
- Go to Database > DBaaS in the left sidebar and click Add.
- On the Choose Database Engine page, select the desired database engine and version.
Settings & Details
In the Settings & Details step:
- Select Private Cluster as the deployment option.
- Choose the desired vCPU, RAM, and Host for deployment.
- Enter the Instance Name, Database Name, Username, and Password.
- Attach a VPC — this is mandatory when creating a DBaaS in a private cluster.
- Optionally configure security groups, IPv6, and encryption.
- Click Launch DBaaS.
Note
The VPC field is required when creating a DBaaS within a private cluster.
DBaaS Listing
After launch, the cluster appears in the DBaaS listing page. To verify it is running in the private cluster, click Private Cluster in the sidebar and check the associated hosts.
